Josh Simmonds skipper of Revolution produced the goods with plenty of Black bream (over 100) fish to 3 lbs. and Bass to 12 lbs. ken Costello other bass caught were a 10 pounder for Mark Benger and three 8 ponders for Paul Whiting the club Secretary
Dave Gibson skipper of Lady Godiva also produced good catches with Bream, Bass, Blonde Ray a new species and club record of 5lbs 4 oz for Gary Walch and Conger to 25 lbs. to Neil Oswick
The Trip aboard Bonwey produced a new club record Plaice for Di Jones of 6 lb. and a good specimen of 4.5 lbs. to Eddie Collins.
The successful bait for the Bass Fishing was Live Mackerel which were caught mainly by Josh and cared for lovingly to keep them alive in the bait tank. They definitely made the difference in both quality and quantity. Fishing with other methods Shads and Feathers also proved successful but the Bass were smaller.
Whilst Fishing the Shambles bank for the Rays a much bigger ray was fought and lost to Mick Byrnes a great shame after getting the fish moving off the bottom.
