Trip report

Very windy day with most anglers very surprised that the trip was on. But Andy Skipper of Blue Mink was right and fishing round Rossal to Cleveleys was relatively fishable, with moderate seas and a bit of wind and movement on the anchor (a bit of a nuisance at times) and the wind was cold. We fished about a quarter of a mile from the wrecked RORO ferry at Cleveleys

Dabs, Whiting a tiny solitary Codling and Dogfish were soon showing but not the anticipated Plaice which were probably put off by the dirty water and lack of Sunshine. Towards low water we had a move a mile or so offshore and here the fishing improved with Bullhuss Thornback and more of the previous species plus a lonely pouting

Species Caught:- Whiting , Dab ,Codling , Pouting Dogfish , Bullhuss, Thornback

Big Fish

Bullhuss 13 lbs 5 ozs PW

Bullhuss 12 lbs 9 ozs MD

Thornback 4 to 5 lbs estimated RG
