AGM Vote to Cancel
Following the decision to cancel Morgan James for next year due to incraesed costsThe following letter was written and sent to Andy Owen Back to top
Letter details from MSA to Andy Owen
Dear AndyI am sorry but following our recent Annual General Meeting I have been instructed to cancel all our trips with you for next year.
The reason is purely on cost.
Prior to your recent price increase you were the most expensive boat we booked, the increase following your new boat and move to Holyhead have put the price out of reach of many of our members.
Only five members were able to commit to trips with you following a vote of members who had previously fished with you.
This would have increased the price for those wishing to fish with you even higher with subsidies from the club out of the question.
We are very grateful for the service you have given us in the past and on a personal note I hope to fish with you again in the future

Transcript of letter received form Andy Owen on 20th of December 2007-12-21Dear Paul
Sorry to hear you have had to cancel your trips with me but could I just point out that £550 Divided by 12 = £45 per head which works out cheaper per head than my old boat and they would get a lot more fishing time because the new boat is a lot faster.. Likewise with the inshore trips as well £400 divided by 12 = £33 per head very reasonable I think, considering you are fishing on a £230000 boat with loads of comfort and space.
Also can I point out that fishing the wrecks out of Holyhead will be a lot better for everyone, as there are a lot more wrecks to choose from and quite a few have not been fished before.
Please show this letter to those ignorant members who think I am to expensive. Paul they obviously do not have a clue on the running costs of a boat like this
Regards
